  • Kevin the Squirrel

Kevin was a squirrel, he lived by himself, by a stream, on the edge of a great forest for kent called Maggies Bush, as forests are sometimes called, however unfortunate.

Kevin lived a simple life, he made herbal tea, hid nuts, brewed the occasional Nettle ale and brought the odd bag of dock leaves to smoke off a Stote called Ben of Glouster, why he was called Ben of Glouster always confused Kevin, as the stote he knew very well he came from London, it never seemed to matter really once Kevin had smoked some of the dock leaves.

As the years passed a family of Otters moved into the stream on the other side from kevin.

    This pleased kevin.

As the weeks passed Kevin befriended the family and started to get to know them, they where a pleasent family, as far as Otter went anyway.

    Then came the turning point.

    Keving fell in love.

And then he hurled himself under a truck.

Which was quite a feet of determination because the nearest road was four miles away, which is a really long way for a squirrel, especially a depressed one.

    Kevin did this for 2 reasons;

Firstly Kevin had falled in love with the With Dereks wife, Derek was the head of the otter family. Kevin had stewed and ached about this for months before he made his terrible decision. It had broken him.

    But...

Secondly, and probably most importantly because she (Patrica) was an Otter.

Authers Note: Written as a first draft when I was 15 and reproduced as was. go figure. Oh and the speeling errors may be my fault because I can't find the spel check and can't be bothered to copy and paste to somewhere that does. To be honest it probably wouldn't have taken as long as typing this. Bhah!

  • The Endless Becoming of Nothingness

If I didn't have to die,
I'd sit here for a thousand years,
    Watch the grass grow taller,
    Watch the flowers bloom,
And watch the river carve it's course.

If I didn't have to die,
I'd sit here for a milliom years,
    Watch the buildings disappear,
Watch the roads vanish beneath the world,
And watch the human race fade to distant memory.

If I didn't have to die,
I'd sit here for a billion years,
    Watch the sun fade,
    Watch it become again,
And watch the earth scatter across the universe.

If I didn't have to die,
    I'd sit here for eternity,
    Happy,
Watching the endless becoming of nothingness.
